The decrees on ecumenism and religious freedom of the Second Vatican Council are topics of lectures set to begin at 8:45 a.m. Saturday, March 9, in the Mount Angel Abbey Library. Mary Jo Tully, chancellor of the Archdiocese of Portland and a seminary professor, will be the presenter. There will be two hour-long talks, plus a dialogue with Tully. Cost is $15 or $5 for students. Participants may bring lunch or arrange to purchase one.
The lectures are part of a series on documents of Vatican II, which opened 50 years ago.
