John Duns Scotus
John Duns Scotus

The Franciscan Renewal Center in Milwaukie this July offers an in-depth look at the Franciscan intellectual tradition in the context of divine love. Focusing on the thought of medieval Franciscan theologians St. Bonaventure and John Duns Scotus, Sisters Mary Jo Chaves and Celeste Clavel will explore three major themes: the primacy of Christ and the mystery of love, creation and the dignity of the human person. Workshop material was written by 21 Franciscan sisters.

Sessions are set for 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Friday, July 27; 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, July 28; and 9 a.m.-noon Sunday, July 29. Cost for the weekend is $100.
