Monastery welcomes people for prayer

MOUNT ANGEL – The Benedictine Sisters of Mt. Angel invite the public to an ecumenical Taizé Prayer Service set for 7 p.m. Sunday, April 15. The hour-long Taizé service is held on the third Sunday of each month in the Queen of Angels Monastery chapel, 840 S. Main Street in Mount Angel. The prayer service combines singing, Scripture and silent contemplation.

Taizé Prayer takes its name from the Taizé monastic community in France which was founded in the 1950s.
