Tattoos based on pride, a sin

To the Catholic Sentinel:

I am appalled at the answer Deacon Owen Cummings gave about tattoos! We are to present ourselves as holy and living sacrifice to God. Our bodies are God’s holy temple.

Our bodies belong to God. Tattoos are disrespectful to our bodies, permanently scarring them. They are based on pride, a sin.
Where is the morality?

Dwayne, you are incorrect and uneducated in regards to body art. I would suggest you educate yourself thoroughly on the Chrch's teaching before labeling those with tattoos as being morally deficient. The sin of pride is also found in your shaming of others without having considered the human factors involved by thinking you are 100% right in your belief.
