Live in the present

A mother and daughter enjoy a moment in a field.

To the Catholic Sentinel:

It is often easier to live in the past, or to imagine the future, than to live in the present moment.

Yet, the present is where we live.

We can’t change the past. The future, on the other hand, is nebulous because it hasn’t become the now.

Thus, we cannot live meaningfully in any place except the now.

The present moment is crucial in our spiritual life. The present moment is the only place we can make changes in our lives. And it is where we connect with God.

The present is our opportunity to touch eternity, to connect with God and be open to Him in our lives.
