How do we treat those who feel out of place?

To the Catholic Sentinel:

I apologize if anyone took offense over my previous letter regarding inclusiveness; that was not my intention, nor was my letter political in nature. I was expressing a conscientious suggestion.

I would like to conduct a survey with results to be published in a future issue.  This survey is for a psychology class I am taking and it will have only three questions.  There are no right or wrong answers.

1. If the Lord says “Love one another,” what does He truly mean?

2. What acts of generosity have you done that have been viewed by others as rebelling against God?

3. Have you ever noticed any Catholics in your parish who you have viewed as out-of-place? If so, in what ways did you interact with that person?
