Some thoughts on homilies

To the Catholic Sentinel:

The Archbishop’s column,  “You are a priest forever,” is one of my most admired articles.

In the piece he said “The people of God have a right to hear from the lips of priests the full and authentic teaching of the Church.”

Is this the template for the priest’s homily? I go to church every Sunday and have several thoughts about the homily.

1. Is the priest/deacon talking about the Bible or talking about the money?

2. Is the priest/deacon standing up for traditional Catholic values such as anti-abortion, anti-homosexual?

3. Does the priest/deacon know there is an “antichrist” inside the church controlled by Satan who wants to destroy the Church from within?
