Archbishop Emeritus John Vlazny laughs during liturgy at St. Anne Parish in Grants Pass.
To the Catholic Sentinel:
Querido hermano y estimado excelencia.
Please accept thanks from me and your flock, Archbishop Emeritus John Vlazny, and their prayers for your continuing ministry.
I came here from the Archdiocese of Miami with cautions and warnings about joining you, the first archbishop to dare to declare bankruptcy.
Your predecessors and brothers owe you thanks.
Your flock appreciates your care.
Our Church benefits from your action and pastoring.
Thank you, Archbishop Emeritus Vlazny, and may God continue relying on you as an instrument of his peace and grace.
On another matter, I wish also to comment on the letter that suggests that Planned Parenthood is on the take, from Heidi Susec, of Cottage Grove, that apperared in the April 9 issue of the Catholic Sentinel.
“Any organization providing abortions should not be teaching our youth how to prevent pregnancies,” she argued in her letter.
The question I have is how are our young children to learn about procreation unless we tell them what we know and what we are not sure of?
