To the Catholic Sentinel:

Estimado Excelencia y querido hermano,

Muchisimas gracias for your Holy Week message.  Thank you for telling us about or reminding us of one of your beloved brother bishops, Oscar Romero, of your fellow priest, Rotelio Grande, and for informing us of the sudden and unexpected death of our sister Linda Weigel, director of our Archdiocesan Tribunal, an essential yet quiet ecclesial function.

Your ministry that began in the Windy City and brought you to our wind-blown coast has and continues bearing witness to our risen Brother and Lord who by the grace and action of the Holy Spirit leads us to our Father’s House.  You say, “It is my sincere prayer during these final days of my ministry among you...”

Dear pastor, your days of ministry among us are not final but a continuation of our rejoicing in the Lord’s Easter victory.

Rolando Rodriguez
Port Orford
