Here is how to make really yummy baked beans
Baked beans recipe.
Baked beans recipe.

To the Catholic Sentinel:
Subject: Archbishop Vlazny.
I read in the Catholic Sentinel that I could get Archbishop Vlazny’s secret family recipe for baked beans upon request.
I’m not sure if you have it or if I need to send my request to someone else. Please let me know.
Thank you and God bless you!
Helen Riehl
The recipe for the baked beans that the archbishop likes is actually handed down from the family of Susan Pfohman, specifically, her mom, Dorthy Bolder. The archbishop explains his own mother “opened the can, heated the beans and served them.
“Others taught me to delight in really good baked beans!” he adds.
Susan’s mom’s recipe for baked beans is reprinted in the box above this letter and editor’s note. Enjoy!
