To the Catholic Sentinel:

On Aug. 1, we will be forced to respond to the Obama Administration’s HHS mandate. Since it mandates Catholics to adhere to matters inimical to Catholic teaching — abortion, sterilization, contraception — it is without legal standing.

Therefore, it must not only be disobeyed, but defied. If necessary, we must be willing to die to uphold the teachings of our Lord and our Catholic faith. Otherwise, unless we follow our Lord Jesus to lead lives of faith and sacrifice, our lives are not worthwhile.

As Mother Teresa said, “God did not create us to be successful, but to be faithful.”
