Our unthoughtful voting led to this affront on liberty

To the Catholic Sentinel:

Thank God for our nation’s bishops who have taken a stand against the HHS mandate that attacks religious freedom, particularly that of the Catholic Church.

Let’s pray that our priests have the courage to educate their congregations about the dangers of this mandate, and the dangers of voting for pro-abortion politicians. It is no surprise that these politicians initiate and support such injustices against religion. Protecting the dignity of all human life is essential to our faith as Catholics.

This means being opposed to abortion and abortifacient forms of birth control. When we as Catholics don’t vote pro-life, we turn against our religion in a big way, and essentially tell politicians that it’s ok for them to disregard our religion as well.
