The Jesuit swim team is in full swim mode, says Bryan Butcher, swim team coach and chemistry teacher at Jesuit High School.
The team has four senior leaders that will lead the team, says Butcher, which should bode well for the team, building on last year’s success.
In 2012, the women’s team was 7-0 and the men were 6-1 in league meets. Returning this year are Megan Harper, Zofia Zdanowicz, and Erin Perry along with freshman Kenna Holt and Emily Cook.
For the men, Sean Calkins, Jackson Wahl and Ben Buchalski return with some freshman. Butcher anticipates a strong showing at district and state.
“This year we have the largest freshman class of swimmers,” said Butcher. “ It is always exciting to see new swimmers get involved this community.”
