MEDFORD — Chris Martin, as a Crusader junior last year, placed 33rd in the talent-packed 3A/2A/1A state finals, coming in at 17:59 for the 5k course. The team, which placed 14th in the team totals, lost a big batch of seniors to graduation.

The Crusader girls were fifth at state last year. Taylor Kreul, as an upstart first year runner, was the top finisher for the woman Crusaders at state, coming in 22nd at 21:18. Maddy Schwartz, as a sophomore, placed 43rd with a 22:03. Madeline Volk, as a freshman, was 62nd at 23 minutes flat, followed closely by then-sophomore Olivia Minor who finished at 23:09 and placed 65th. Just behind was then-freshman Annelise Delgado, in 67th at 23:24.
