BEAVERTON — Last year proved to be a banner year with only one goal unreached for the Lady Valiants: a championship. Losing to Oregon Episcopal 2-1 ended a 13-1-2 season, and 6-0-2 league finish for Valley Catholic and the Valiants are looking ahead to repeating a similar season with just one different result — the 3A/2A/1A title.

Eight starters return, including the defensive line and keeper Amanda Carrera. Also back is leading goal scorer, Sarah Connelly. The Valiants lost four senior leaders to graduation, but the new captains — Senior Makenzee Cleveland and juniors Sarah Connelly and Erin McLouglin — have wasted no time stepping up into the leadership roles. Ella Turkot joins the Valiants as a transfer from Catlin Gabel. She is a solid center mid who will make an immediate impact on the team.
The team is young, with over half of the roster being underclassmen. The Valiants worked hard during the off-season.

“We have another great group of girls who want to compete and get better every practice and I am excited to see where this season takes us,” says Kayla Crandall, the head coach.
