Jordan Reynolds, point guard at Central Catholic High School, has had a passion for basketball since she was a toddler.

“I knew I wanted to be a basketball player when I was in pre-school when they asked me what I want to be when I grow up” she says.

Reynolds, 16, comes from a family of athletes. She joined Central Catholic after her freshman year at Jefferson High School, helping the Democrats make it to the state championship and win. Also, she is apart of an Amateur Athletic Union team called Team Concept.
“The transition from a public school to a private school was challenging in terms of academics,” she says. “I balance by staying on my school work and time management.”

While growing up, Reynolds would play wherever and against whomever she could.

“My biggest inspiration are all of my older siblings because they all played,” she says.
Central Catholic is helping her prepare for a Division 1 college.

“What appeals to me is the fans. They get hyped,” she says. “I like to show them a good time.”

On March 7, Central Catholic played St. Mary’s Academy and won. The ending score was 51-48. Reynolds had 18 points and five assists. The Rams went onto to take third in state.

“I prefer being on the court. It clears my mind,” she says. Reynolds hopes to make basketball a career.
