SILVERTON — The St. John Bosco Knights won their first-ever school athletic competition with a 51-33 victory over the Mid Valley Christian Academy Navigators.  St. John Bosco High opened for the 2009-10 school year and added an athletics program this year.

The game featured a scoring duel between the Knights' Cody Bartholomew and John Chafee for the Navigators. Bartholomew tossed in 24 points and added 16 rebounds for the Knights. Chafee poured in 27 points for the Navigators.

Also scoring in double figures for the victorious Knights were Patrick Doyle and Mickey Walker with 11 and 10 points respectively.
