Teams of Our Lady, a lay spirituality group, recently hosted a retreat in Mount Angel for Catholic couples. Along with couples from the group, 32 married pairs from throughout the Portland, Bend, Keizer and Salem areas gathered for a weekend led by Father Theo Lange.

The retreat focused on developing and keeping a Christ-centered marriage. Father Lange, on staff at Mount Angel Seminary, challenged couples to follow Christ in their every day lives with presentations on the wedding at Cana, Christ’s washing of the apostles’ feet, the crucifixion and resurrection.

There are 19 Teams of Our Lady, mostly in the Portland area. Each team consists of five to seven couples who meet monthly to share a simple meal, pray, discuss a spiritual topic, and support each other in continuing to lead Gospel lives.
