The Archdiocese of Portland Office for People with Disabilities has planned two retreat opportunities for Catholic families with children with disabilities. The theme of the family retreat is “Journey Together in Hope.”  The weekend of Aug. 23-25 is for English speaking families, and the weekend of Aug. 30-Sept. 1 is for Spanish speaking families.  The retreats will be held at the Aldersgate Conference Center in Turner,  15 minutes East of Salem.

Registration forms are available on the archdiocesan website www.archdpdx.org/opd.  The registration deadline is Aug. 5. The cost is $150 per adult, $60 per child (ages 12 – 18), $45 per child (ages 5 – 11) and $0 per child (ages 0 – 4).  The cost includes lodging for two nights and five meals. There is some limited financial assistance available to help families with the expense of the weekend.
