The Virtue First Foundation will host the third annual “Virtue First” awards and conference from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Thursday May 9, at the Mount Angel Festhalle. Admission is free and open to the public.
A non-profit, Virtue First Foundation, is dedicated to promoting virtue to “re-build the character of America’s youth.” It was founded by Randy Traeger, a high school football coach and member of St. Mary Parish.
The Festhalle is at 500 Wilco Highway.
The awards evening honors teachers, coaches, youth ministers, schools, businesses, and health care providers who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to serving youth and promoting virtue during 2012. More than 75 people from communities throughout Northern and Central Oregon were nominated.
