Group classes address post-partum depression in new fathers

While post-partum depression in new mothers is well understood, the same problem affects about one in four men. The Northwest Catholic Counseling Center is offering a series of six group sessions to new fathers who may be struggling with it.

The group meetings begin on Wednesday, Feb. 20 and are set for 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m. at the center, 8383 NE Sandy Blvd., Suite 205, Portland, OR 97220. The series cost is $75. Therapist Graham Sterling will help fathers learn how to recognize anxiety and how to deal with the pressures of being a new parent.

For registration and additional information, call 503-253-0964 or visit www.nwcounseling.org.
