An Archdiocesan Hispanic Ministry inservice is planned for Tuesday, April 24 at St. Mary Parish in Albany. The workshop will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The training is entitled “Intercultural competencies for ministry in the Parish Context.”

Alejandro Aguilera-Titus is the presenter for the workshop. The program will suggest skills and attitudes needed for intercultural ministry in parishes today. The workshop is directed to clergy and Hispanic ministers. It will consider how to build Church unity amid an increasingly culturally diverse church.

Alejandro Aguilera-Titus is the Director of Hispanic/Latino Affairs at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. He is a Board member of the National Catholic Association of Diocesan Directors for Hispanic Ministry and a Board member of Christian Churches Together. He has twenty-eight years of experience in ministry with an emphasis on pastoral planning and intercultural communications. He has served in the Archdiocese of Portland as Director of Hispanic Ministry.
The cost of the inservice is $15, which includes lunch. Registration is online with a link from the Archdiocesan Hispanic Ministry web page www.archdpdx.org/en-espanol. Registration is due by April 18.
