The Irish band St. James's Gate will play at the March 17 Catholic Charities celebration.
The Catholic Charities Annual Celebration goes for a bit 'o the green this year. Set for St. Patrick's Day, Saturday, March 17, the night begins at 6 p.m. at the Oregon Convention Center. On the bill of fare are Irish cocktails, dinner with a nod to the Emerald Isle and live music by the Irish Band St. James's Gate.
Providence Health and Services and chairpersons Chris and Kim Corrado are organizing the event. Archbishop John Vlazny will be host along with Pietro Ferrari, executive director of Catholic Charities. Net proceeds directly benefit the programs of Catholic Charities in the Portland metropolitan area.
Two challenge grants are on the table. The first, from Mark and Leslie Ganz and Regence, will match gifts of at least $100 with a dollar for dollar gift up to $250. The second is a table bonus challenge, which will double every $1,000 in combined table donations, up to $40,000.
