Father Thomas is wowing faithful in Bandon by the Sea

Letter to the Editor
To the Sentinel:
Father Andrew Thomas of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Bandon arrived in our small community (population 2,500) a year ago. Father T, as he is called, is our our parish priest but he also ministers to the faithful at our Mission in Port Orford, St. John’s. Parishioners who had been here over 30 years became excited again. Individuals who only showed up for Mass for the Big Three have started to return on a regular basis. Our youth group, with the help of a new leader, has incresed 500 percent. His efforts have brought about a reduction in expenses, using energy more efficiently.
He has his faults; he is a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, but has avoided the debate between being a Duck or Beaver. He has brought back young parents to the faith. He listens to the concerns and doubts of the entire faithful family. We are once again a family of Christ.
