Concerning Mrs. Macdonald
Letter to the Editor

To the Sentinel:
There are few, if any, members of our community who have done more for others, especially the poor and vulnerable, than the late Maybelle Clark Macdonald. Among those touched by her compassion and generosity are the more than 25,000 people assisted by Catholic Charities each year. Her humble and quiet manner of philanthropy drew attention to the needs of those who she sought to help. She set a Christ-like example and standard. She will be missed, yet her work lives on in those who have been changed for the better because of her exceptional generosity. We have lost a good and gentle champion; heaven has gained an exemplary new member.
