To the Sentinel:
Thank you, St. Pius X middle school retreat!
Approximately 40 middle school age youth came to Father Bernard Youth Center for a retreat. They performed service work for us at the center and reclaimed our hillside amphitheatre and lower campfire area. This required hoeing briars, weeding trails and clearing the area around the outdoor campfire ring.
The center extends a very heartfelt thanks to the wonderful youth of St. Pius who took time during their retreat to help us spruce up for summer! Thank you to your excellent team leaders, especially Jenn and husband Craig. They were wonderful to work with and did an excellent job working with the youth and organizing the retreat!
This retreat was made possible thanks to the generous support of retreat and camp sponsors interested in providing a special place for prayer and personal growth for young people. Each retreat makes a difference in someone’s life as evidenced by direct quotes made to sponsors.
The center is a nonprofit retreat facility located in Mount Angel. With more than 15,000 square feet of retreat facilities, outdoor areas and dormitory-style bunk rooms, it is an ideal location, also for weekday business meetings and planning sessions.
