Priest-calligrapher left a legacy of medical licenses
A recent issue of the Oregon Medical Board’s newsletter included a tribute to Father Robert Palladino. The priest, who died in February, was an expert calligrapher who during the 1980s and 1990s hand wrote certificates for medical licenses. Doctors all over Oregon have his work hanging on their walls.

Marylhurst chamber choir won honors on a tour of Ireland
Marylhurst University’s top choral ensemble brought home two awards from the 2016 Cork International Choral Festival in Cork, Ireland. The Marylhurst Chamber Choir, directed by Justin Smith, placed third in the festival’s most prestigious competition for the Fleischmann Award. Swedish and Turkish choirs took the top spots.
