Conference set to explore liturgy
The Oregon Sacred Liturgy Conference is set for Mount Angel Abbey Sept. 2-4. Theme is “Mystical Body-Mystical Voice in the Liturgy.” The three days of prayer, study and celebration will focus on what the fathers of the Second Vatican Council called “the source and summit” of faith — the liturgy.

Tanzania trek gives sense of precious faith

A team from St. Pius X Parish in Portland has completed a trip to Tanzania for the opening of a new church and an ordination.

They wanted to support Father Peter Siamoo, a Tanzanian priest who had served their Oregon parish and worked as a hospital chaplain before returning home to the Diocese of Moshi.
