Donald Clifford Foelker died May 6. He was 92.
Mr. Foelker was born Sept. 28, 1920, in Litchville, N.D. During the Great Depression, he and his family moved to his grandmother’s house in Hillsboro. He graduated from Hillsboro Union High School in 1939, and attended Pacific University in Forest Grove. He enlisted in the Marines, and served during World War II. He married Madeleine Coussens in 1947. He worked for the Hillsboro Argus for 62 years.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Madeleine; two siblings, William and Walter; and his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Alice (Michael) McMenamin, Portland; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and sister Dorine (Donald) Smith. ‘
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Matthew Church in Hillsboro.
