Candy turned in

Holy Cross School in North Portland held its first Halloween candy turn-in last week. Students brought in unwanted, unused, and unneeded Halloween candy.

The class with the most turned in — based on an average per child — was awarded a bowling party with physical education teacher Ben Swinehart. The donated candy will be sent to military service members serving overseas.
