TUALATIN — Resurrection Church has a committed group of parishioners who work to coordinate three annual events that feature speakers addressing pro-life issues: a fall fellowship luncheon, a couple’s dinner, and a mother’s day luncheon.
The Celebrate Life Committee seeks to educate the parish on topics like Respect Life Sunday, voter registration, and commemoration of the Jan. 22 Roe v. Wade decision, as well as other timely topics. On first Fridays, pro-life committee members pray the rosary at the Lovejoy Surgicenter Abortion Clinic, and raise donations for pregnancy resource centers and Father Taaffe homes, as well as Martha and Mary Ministries.
In fall, the committee will show October Baby, at 7 p.m., Oct. 6, in Rossman Hall. On Oct. 17, committee member Judy Cook will speak at the fall fellowship luncheon on the lessons she learned from her father’s death.
RSVP to Linda Van Wart, Celebrate Life Committee chairwoman, at 503-638-0432.
