Address both kinds of pollution

Smoke rises from ruins of World Trade Center in 2001.
To the Catholic Sentinel:
I assume that “flat earthers” mean anyone who does not totally agree with Al Gore’s version of science, and that all the world’s problems are due to carbon dioxide emission. The world’s pollution problems are much more dire than you depict, and they are also more complex.
When terrorists brought down the Twin Towers in New York and attacked the Pentagon, all aircraft traffic was halted. In those few days, scientists found a noticeable increase in warmth of the earth.
Three scientists noticed a lessening of the evaporation rate of water, but the scientific community ignored their findings. But after 9/11, scientists confirmed the existence of particle pollution blocking 10 percent of the sun’s rays reaching the earth.
Both types of pollution have to be dealt with.
