To the Catholic Sentinel:

There is an impasse in labor negotiations between TriMet and its employees, represented by the Amalgamated Transit Union 757.

At issue is the imposition of a freeze in wages and increase in insurance premiums. The union filed an unfair labor practice against TriMet.

Bargaining in good faith is the foundation of labor relations, and represents justice and ethics in society and the workplace.
