Catholic Charities officials have announced that Pietro Ferrari, its executive director, has left the organization. Ferrari had led Catholic Charities since October 2011.
“We appreciate Pietro’s twenty-one months of service to Catholic Charities and we wish him well in his future endeavors,” said Catholic Charities’ board chair, Marvin Kaiser.
Doug Alles, the agency’s director of social services and mission integration and Trell Anderson, director of housing, will provide interim leadership of day-to-day operations until a new executive director is found. The search for a new executive director will begin shortly. Until the search is complete, the executive committee of Catholic Charities’ board and the management team will work together to steer the organization.
“With decades of social service and housing organization leadership experience between them, I have total confidence in the strength of our management team and in their ability to lead the organization until a new executive director is found," said Kaiser. "We are unwavering in our commitment to continue to provide the highest quality social services and housing to our clients under the guidance of the Archdiocese of Portland.”
