To the Catholic Sentinel:

“It’s a phenomenon,” said the homilist, “I see it in the parish.”  He was speaking of the new atheism and of people falling away from the Church. Yet, like everyone else, he offers the same one hour hourglass (4 to 5 p.m., Saturday) through which all of his parishioners must squeeze if they wish to go to confession.

What did anybody think would happen?  Of course people are falling away.  We’re out of grace.
