The University of Portland’s Center for Entrepreneurship was named the 2012 “Outstanding Specialty Entrepreneurship Program” by the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship. The award recognizes a college or university that has “developed and currently still offers a high quality and innovative program that educates and trains future generations of entrepreneurs.”

Robin Anderson, dean of the Pamplin School of Business Administration made a presentation to judges at an association conference in New Orleans in January.

The center works with Portland businesses to offer entrepreneurial opportunities for students in all academic disciplines. One project is a $100,000 business plan competition.
