Troop 351 Boy Scouts and the Venture Crew are holding a Christmas tree sale at the southwest corner of the St. Ignatius Parish parking lot, at 3400 Se 43rd Ave.

This is the troop’s 33rd year selling Christmas trees and wreaths. Volunteers run the sale, which raises funds for the Boy Scouts and Venture Crew’s activities and summer camps.

For the first time, they are offering SERF-certified trees, which are grown on sustainable farms.

The sale runs weekdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and weekends from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., through Monday, Dec. 23.

For more information, call the tree lot trailer at 503-775-284.

The fundraiser has expanded this year, with a second lot in Southwest Portland on the Waterfront, at 800 SW Gaines St., at the corner of SW Gaines and River Parkway. Sale dates at the second lot are Dec. 7, 8, 14 and 15, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Wondering what to do with your tree after the holiday is over? The Cub Scouts recycle trees for donations. Trees can be dropped off at the St. Ignatius lot from Dec. 27 to Jan. 11, weekdays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and weekends from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
