A children’s festival is set for 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at the historic Peninsula Odd Fellows Building at 4834 N. Lombard St. The event promotes culture and introduces youths to local instructors.

The Holy Cross School choir will sing at 1:20 p.m. and the Holy Redeemer choir at 2 p.m.
Throughout the day, children can learn about classes for martial arts, hula, drums, ballet, choir, Irish folk dancing, band and more. Hawaiian and Japanese food, as well as other snacks and desserts, will be available.
