BEAVERTON — Valley Catholic's Charisma Dance Team has won the 3A/2A/1A state championship for the fourth consecutive year. In addition, Jessica Anderson has been named Coach of the Year for 4A/3A/2A/1A by the Oregon School Activities Association. The achievements came during the state competition held at Portland’s Memorial Coliseum in mid March.

The team danced “The Hunt,” which consistently received high scores throughout the regular season. When the judges announced the results, Charisma had earned 83.97 points, their all-time highest score.

Since Anderson began coaching the team in the 2007, Valley Catholic has appeared on the championships rosters in either first or second place — something that had not been achieved by the school since the competition began in 1987.
