Sheila Edwards-Lienhart died Nov. 25. She was 59.

Mrs. Edwards-Lienhart was born May 23, 1954, in Vallejo, Calif., to Virgie Mae (Tribble) and Eddie Edwards. In 1972, she graduated from Berkeley High School and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in education from Seattle University. She worked as a special education teacher for Highline Public Schools from 1976-‘79. She married Ross Lienhart in 1979, and they moved to Portland. From 1980-2009, she was an elementary school teacher for Portland Public Schools.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Eddie Edwards Jr., Carneal Edwards, Timothy Edwards and John Virgil Cuff. She is survived by her husband Ross Lienhart; sons, Nolan Lienhart and Niles Lienhart; sisters, Benetha Edwards and Elizabeth Edwards; brothers, Franklin Cuff Jr. and Paul Cuff; and her many cherished nephews; nieces; and brothers- and sisters-in-law.

A memorial was held at St. Andrew Church. Memorial donations can be made to Portland Japanese Garden or to the Future Connect fund at the Portland Community College Foundation.
