Servite Father Justin Pisciotta died Aug. 20. He was 74.

Born Aug. 18, 1938, he entered the Order of Servants of Mary (Servite Friars) at St. Joseph Seminary (St. Charles, Ill.) at the age of 14.  On Sept. 15, 1957, he professed religious vows at Our Lady of Riverside Priory (Riverside, Calif.).  He received a master’s degree in religious education from Loyola University in Chicago. He completed his theological studies at Immaculate Heart Seminary at the University of San Diego.  He was ordained a priest on March 19, 1964 in San Diego, Calif. 


He was a teacher and administrator for 22 years; and he served 27 years in various parochial ministry assignments, including Christ the King Church in Milwaukie, from 1998-2000.

Services were held in Fullerton, Calif., and Denver, Colo.
