Nedra Anne Bachman, a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, died Nov. 23. She was 97.

Mrs. Bachman was born Sept. 12, 1916, in Lebanon to Sarah (O’Connell) Cunningham and George Cunningham. She graduated from Grant High School in 1935 and was employed at various jobs during the Depression and World War II: nurse’s aide, stocker at Montgomery Wards and clerk at Sears.  She married Henry in 1945 and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Henry Bachman; her parents; sisters Catherine (Moriarity) Fix (Charlie), Helen Cunningham and Augusta Louise (Cunningham) Day; brothers, William (Bill) Moriarity and Cyril Cunningham (Domenica). 

She is survived by two sons, James Bachman (Pam) and Paul Bachman (Judy); four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two nieces; two nephews; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and -nephews.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 6, at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Memorial donations can be made to Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, 5221 SE Knight St., Portland, OR.
