Nancy Clayton Dahlager Puttman died Nov. 13. She was 69.

Mrs. Puttman was born Aug. 17, 1944, in Oak Grove to Roy and Edna Clayton. She grew up in Portland, graduating from Jefferson High School in 1962. She married Richard Dahlager, and they lived in Portland until 1977, when they moved to Sandy.

She returned to school to pursue a career in nursing, graduated from Mount Hood Community College in 1993 and worked as a nurse until her retirement in 2009. In 1998, she married John Puttman.

She is survived by her husband, John; children, Jill (Mark), Jon (Tammy), Jodi (Christopher), Josh (Elizabeth), Kim (Val), John Jr. (Krista), Ken (Lauri) and Tom (Suzanne); and 12 grandchildren.

A rosary will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, at St. Juan Diego Parish. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25, at the Grotto, followed by a reception. Memorial donations can be made to the Sanctuary of our Sorrowful Mother or the Assistance League of Portland.
