Mildred Marie (Zeller) Powell died Oct. 25. She was 94.

Mrs. Powell was born July 31, 1919 in Pottawatomie County, Kan. She attended parochial grade school and following high school graduation was employed four years as a bookkeeper and stenographer at the Wamego, Kansas First National Bank.  She married Edward AloysiusPowell in 1940. They moved to Bremerton, Wash., during World War II, and then to Redmond after the war. They moved to The Dalles in 1954, where they owned and operated Ed Powell Welding Service.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ed Powell in 1987; son, Jack Powell, in 1969; son Jim Powell in 2004; son-in-law, Tom Knudson in 1988; and siblings, Julius Zeller, Loretta Schweir, Helena Wagner and Bernie Falsone. She is survived by her children and spouses, Judy and Jim Marick, Mary Ann Powell, Janet Powell, Jeri Powell-Knudson, Joyce Powell-Morin and Tony Morin, Joseph and Judy Powell, Jean Powell-Marks and Jim Marks, and Jeffrey Powell; 31 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Peter Church.
