Mary Virginia Lucco, a member of St. Rita Church for 28 years, died Jan. 7. She was 91.

Mrs. Lucco was born July 13, 1922, in Walla Walla. She graduated from St. Vincent's (now St. Patrick's) in 1940. She married Joseph Lucco in 1949. They settled in Elizabeth, N.J., where they owned and operated a laundry service for 18 years. In 1965, she moved back to the Northwest, where they owned and operated six Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1986; sister, Josephine Ambrosio; brothers, Paul Ambrose and Frank Ambrose, in 2013. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Grace Ambrose, Chula Vista, Calif.; many nieces; nephews; and cousins.

A rosary will start at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at St. Rita Church.
