Kathlyn Kocher, a longtime member of the St. John Church in Milwaukie and more recently of Holy Family Catholic Church, died Sept. 15. She was 90.

Mrs. Kocher was born April 26, 1922, in Portland. She attended St. Ignatius, Franklin Primary Grade and Franklin High School in Southeast Portland graduating in 1940. She married Ken Kocher in 1940.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth in 2006. She is survived by her five children, Michael (Charlotte) Kocher, Scappoose; Greg (Polly) Kocher, Portland; Kathy (J.B.) Winslow, Portland; Charles (Gerry) Kocher, Brookings; and Doug (Glenda) Kocher, Happy Valley; sister, Pat Smaldone, McMinnville; cousins, nephews and nieces.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m.,  Saturday, Oct. 13, at St. Ignatius Church. A celebration of her life will be held the same day in the Fellowship Hall at Rose Villa, 13505 S.E. River Road, Milwaukie from 2 to 4 p.m. Ice cream and brownies will be served. Memorial donations can be made to the Milwaukie Community Center or the Rose Villa Foundation.
