FOREST GROVE — Jeanette Kennar, a member of St. Anthony Parish, died June 22. She was 85.

Mrs. Kennar was born April 18, 1929, in Walla Walla, Wash., to Conrad and Magdalena (Woidt) Butherus. She graduated from Walla Walla High School in 1957 and married George Kennar in 1957. She worked for Baker Boyer National Bank in Walla Walla, until September 1953, when she entered the University of Washington College. She and her family lived in Wilbraham and East Longmeadow, Mass., Eugene and, most recently, Hillsboro.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Conrad and Magdalena Butherus; son, Christopher Kennar; and eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband George Kennar; son Dave (Rose) Kennar, Bangkok, Thailand; daughter Caroline (Paul) Madden, Hillsboro; sister Joyce (Phillip) Sterry, Kailua, Hawaii; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass was celebrated by Father Michael Vuky at St. Anthony Church. Memorial donations can be made to the ARC, 6929 N.E. Halsey St., Portland, OR 97213.
