Elizabeth Marie Rardin-Harris died Dec. 17. She was 97.

Mrs. Rardin-Harris was born Sept. 5, 1915, in Yankton, S.D., to Louis and Alice Lanctot. She married Lee Rardin in 1933. The family lived in Mitchell, S.D., Burlington, Iowa, and finally settled in Portland in 1943. Early in her working career she worked as a welder for the shipyard and Jantzen Woolen Mills operating the knitting machines. She later worked at Sears Roebuck as a salesclerk, retiring after 24 years.

She was predeceased by children, Ruth Ann Rardin, Elizabeth (Donald) Adams and Robert (Mildred) Rardin. She is survived by her children, Glen (Carol) Rardin, James (Tomi) Rardin, Donald (Joyce) Rardin, Patricia Rardin; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 19 great- great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at St. John the Baptist Church in Milwaukie.
