Dr. Leo Freiermuth, a member of Holy Family Parish, died July 9. He was 85.

Dr. Freiermuth was born Feb. 14, 1929, in Boise to Leo Freiermuth and Margaret Anne Atkinson. He graduated from Parma High School and attended the University of Idaho-Moscow, graduating in 1950. He attended medical school at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo., and married Lavonne Brown in 1953. After completing his internship at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, he was posted to Patrick Air Force Base (now Cape Kennedy). He moved to Portland for his residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center and joined the Suburban Medical Group in 1961. He served on the staff of Providence, Portland Adventist and Woodland Park Hospitals. In 1973, he married Kristen Scoggin-Bushor.

He is survived by his wife Kristen; sons, Lee Jeffrey (Rebecca), Ross Scott (Thea Vaughn), Kirk Noel (Cynthia) and Jeffrey Bushor (Keri); 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
