Donna Jean (Manfred) Gedlich died May 21. She was 69.

Mrs. Gedlich was born March 24, 1945, in Spokane, Wash., to Alphonso and Lucille Manfred. She graduated from high school in Moscow, Idaho, in 1963 and moved to Portland in 1966. She married her husband John Gedlich in 1969. They moved to Scappoose in 1971. In 1984, she started working for the city of Scappoose as city recorder. She retired in 1999, and in 2000 was elected to the Scappoose City Council.

She is survived by her husband John Sr.; son, John Jr. (Tracey), Vancouver; two grandchildren; and her twin brother Don.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at St. Wenceslaus Church in Scappoose, followed by a reception. Memorial donations can be made to the Legacy Hopewell House Hospice, 6171 SW Capitol Highway, Portland, OR, 97239-2649.
